Underground electricity supply to new shed.
Wollomia | Jervis Bay
We recently completed an underground power installation and full electrical fitout for a new shed on a semi-rural property in Wollamia, near Huskisson. The client now has a reliable and practical power solution designed to support a wide range of uses, ideal for a home workshop or handyman setup.

Underground power connection to the shed.
As part of this job, we installed underground power from the main house to the newly constructed shed. This involved trenching and laying underground cabling to safely and efficiently supply power across the property.
Underground electricity is ideal for rural and semi-rural properties because it provides a clean and unobtrusive solution without the need for overhead lines. It also offers improved safety and long-term durability in outdoor environments.

Dedicated switchboards for safe power distribution.
A key feature of this installation was the inclusion of dedicated switchboards to manage and protect the electrical supply to the shed. This included:
- An internal switchboard within the shed for easy access
- An external switchboard housed in a weatherproof enclosure
- Circuit breakers and safety protection devices for each circuit
These switchboards allow for safe and organised distribution of electricity, ensuring each circuit is properly protected and easy to manage. The external weatherproof enclosure is designed to withstand outdoor conditions.

Full electrical fitout in the shed.
Once the power was connected, we completed a full electrical fitout of the shed to make it a functional and versatile space.
This included:
- Installation of low voltage lighting for bright, energy-efficient illumination
- Multiple power points positioned for practical use
- Dedicated circuits to support tools and equipment
- Safe cable management and compliant wiring throughout
The layout was designed to ensure the shed can be used comfortably for a range of purposes, whether for storage, a workshop, or general property use.
