New private power pole installation
We installed a new private steel power pole to receive the overhead electricity supply from the local network. When determining the position of the pole, we considered the location of existing structures and the owner’s plans for future development of the property.
Private power poles are often required on rural properties and larger blocks where the home or other buildings are located some distance from the street electricity network. The pole provides a secure connection point from which electricity can later be distributed throughout the property.

Meter box and electrical protection
A weatherproof meter box was installed on the new pole to house the property’s electricity meters, switchboard components and electrical protection equipment.

Completing this work at an early stage provides power for builders and trades during construction, while allowing the permanent supply to be extended to the new home when required.

Excavation and underground power installation
The project also involved excavating a trench and laying underground power lines from the new private power pole into the property.
Underground cabling provides a protected electricity supply without additional overhead lines running across the block. The route and depth of the trench were carefully planned to meet current safety and electricity network requirements while considering the proposed location of the new home and other future construction.
Once the underground electrical conduits and power lines were installed, the trench was backfilled and the site was prepared for the next stage of development.
